Schoffel have prided themselves on crafting clothing known for its exceptional quality and innovative technology since 1804. They first found popularity 27 years ago with the Ptarmigan Shooting Coat, which along with their fleece gilet still remains one of their best sellers today.

After years of being asked by customers, Schoffel have created their own fly fishing collection. The design and development of this collection started in 2018 when the owner, Peter Schoffel, and brand director Marcus Janssen had a conversation about their passion for fly fishing. It was on that day the three year mission began, to develop the most reliable range of technical fly fishing clothing on the market.

This Schoffel fly fishing range has been engineered based on the way the Schoffel Country brand was built. Schoffel has ensured that the quality, durability, attention to detail and technical performance will be on par with the country collection, and to guarantee comfort when out in the field, well or the water in this case. For this new fly fishing range Schoffel are using the very best and latest technology such as Gore-Tex and Toray Dermizax. Schoffel believes that these products will give fly fishers top performance, reliability and will last for years to come.

The design team in Germany produced five prototypes of each jacket, Schoffel sent these to some of the most experienced fly fishers in the UK, these fishermen took the jackets on trips to Iceland, Norway, Russia, Argentina and here in the UK. They wore them for four months and endured all that the elements could throw at them. Each fly fisher was impressed with the Schoffel fly fishing jackets and how they performed, through their expertise subjective findings they all gave suggestions on how to fine-tune the jackets.

Three years of designing and testing and the Schoffel fly fishing range is ready to be released. We at Allcocks Country are excited to be stocking this luxury collection.

Salar Wading Jacket

The Salar Wading Jacket has a 3-Layer Gore-Tex ripstop laminate lining so it is extremely waterproof, windproof and breathable. This jacket has all the features you need when you are fly fishing, a D-ring for tool/utensil attachments, it has a hypalon port for zinger attachment and a velcro fly path pad just to name a few. The Schoffel Salar Wading Jacket even has an internal pocket that features a clear face for mobile phone storage, so there is no need for you to get your phone out and lose it whilst you’re wading! It has a large game pocket at the back of the jacket, and two zipped microfleece fleece-backed side-access hand-warming pockets with drainage holes to keep you fly fishing equipment safe.

Mayfly Jacket

The Mayfly Jacket is a very similar jacket to the Schoffel Salar Wading Jacket. The main difference between these two jackets is that the Salar Jacket is Gore-Tex whereas the Schoffel Mayfly Jacket is a Toray Dermizax NX 3-Layer ripstop. The Mayfly Jacket is still waterproof, windproof and breathable. The features of the Mayfly Jacket are much the same as the Salar Wading Jacket.

We also can’t forget to mention all of the other pockets too, so there is plenty of space to keep all your fly fishing essentials, all you’ve got to remember is where you put them. This jacket is also machine washable.

Annan Technical ¼ Zip

The Annan Technical ¼ zip fits right in with this collection, it has been designed to be worn with the Schoffel Salar and Mayfly jackets for ease of movement and ultimate comfort. It is a technical fleece that is highly breathable and quick-drying. It has a quarter zip neck and a vertical zipped chest pocket.

Technical Fly Fishing Sock
