Welligogs was founded in 2000 by Kim Annan, they were the first brand to introduce hand-painted designs onto rubber wellingtons in the UK and Europe. The designs for the Wellingtons were inspired by ideas from Kim and her family, as she wanted to stay true to her roots as a family business. The name Welligogs came from Kim’s childhood memories, where everyone knew their wellingtons as “Welligogs”.

Since the early days, Welligogs’ product ranges and designs have grown into the Welligogs brand that we see today, they are committed to producing pieces that are British-made, and are proud to produce pieces in the heart of England. Everything they produce is distinctly British-style, very practical and cutting-edge fashion perfect for the countryside.

Welligogs popular pieces include classic tweed jackets, practical waxed cotton, and fully waterproof jackets and coats. Their collection is finished with quality jackets, coats, gilets and accessories that provide you with comfort and performance. Some of Welligogs coats are fully waterproof and breathable with seam-sealed membranes, providing you with protection if you ever get caught out in the British weather.

Welligogs has that classic country look, and we have seen an increasing number of celebrities wearing Welligogs coats and jackets. We have seen Clare Balding in the Ascot Jacket at Crufts.

A commitment that is close to Kim’s heart is to try and ensure that all the products are made in Britain. They like to support the British industry and manufactures as Kim comes from a long line of British manufactures. Welligogs only select quality British tweeds and other fabrics for their products, and they are then hand-crafted with attention to detail. One of their goals is to promote sustainable, raw materials throughout their products to ensure a British vision in the quality of their collection. If they cannot source products to be made in Britain, they look for a similar quality in Europe.

Here at Allcocks Country we have been Welligogs stockists for 3 years. We stock a vast range of their collection including wax coats and gilets, tweed jackets and shirts. We are visited by Welligogs throughout the year so that we keep up to date with all their new products. As a Welligogs stockists, we increase the range that we stock each year by choosing new products for the upcoming season.

One of our Welligogs bestsellers here at Allcocks Country is the Louise Coat. This Welligogs coat is a waxed cotton coat with a detachable hood, it has a modern British design with a fishtail style at the back. The Louise coat is water repellant and fully windproof, perfect if you get caught out in that unexpected rain shower.
