Le Chameau is practically a household name here in the British countryside and is renowned for its quality and durability. The luxury brand has been known to create the most innovative wellies over the past century and was the first bootmaker to create wellies with a zipper.

We are here to make sure your beloved Le Chameau wellies last as long as possible, in order for you to enjoy the comfort and style they bring.

Below are some simple to follow Do’s and Don'ts, so you can make sure you are looking after your wellies correctly.

*Please note: You might notice a white powder on your boots. This means the insoluble particles have risen to the surface of your boot, which is absolutely normal and is a characteristic of a luxury product made from high-grade rubber.

1.Clean with water and a brush then allow to dry naturally.

To ensure your wellies last as long as possible and look box new, it is important they are regularly cleaned with water and the Le Chameau brush, then allowed to dry naturally.

2.Use the Le Chameau Silicone spray and microfibre cloth.

After you have let your wellies dry, spray your boots with the Le Chameau silicone spray and buff with a clean Le Chameau micro-fibre cloth. By doing this, you can ensure your wellies keep the suppleness and flexibility, so they always have that brand new feel.

Other quick tips for your Le Chameau Wellies:

DO’s

  • Keep your boots in a dry and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and from any heat source.
  • If the boots get wet, please dry the lining thoroughly before using them again. Crumpled newspaper will help.
  • If storing your boots for a long period, clean them thoroughly and store away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep the zip clean. Dirt will wear the zip and significantly reduce its life.

DON’TS

  • Never dry your boots in direct contact with a heat source like a radiator or a fireplace.
  • Do not use aggressive products, like detergents to clean your boots.
  • Never store your boots in a damp condition or folded.
  • It is advisable not to leave the zip undone when wearing the boots, this will increase the chances of dirt getting into the zip.
  • Never force the zip to close.
